Jessica Hawkins and Bria Garmon Shine in Festus Volleyball Districts"
"Shining Stars: Jessica Hawkins and Bria Garmon's Vital Contributions to Festus Volleyball"

Senior libero Jessica Hawkins just rewrote the Festus volleyball record books. In a four-set victory over St. Clair on Oct. 1, she shattered the career digs record — surpassing Bria Garmon’s 1,375 by clearing 1,400 with five matches still ahead.

The Tigers have built a strong 14-6-1 season and claimed third place at the Lutheran-St. Charles Tournament on Oct. 4. Hawkins isn’t just a volleyball phenom.

She’s also a multi-event track star, medaling in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and starring on relay teams as Festus captured the Class 4 state track title this spring.

She’s verbally committed to continue her track career at

Lindenwood University.

🐾Pint-sized troublemaker: Meet Peanut the American yellow tabby

Beth Hudson describes her cat, Peanut, as an inquisitive and affectionate American yellow tabby.

Despite being feisty, Peanut is curious, lovable, and playful.

However, his curiosity sometimes causes trouble in the house, such as with the Christmas tree decorations.

Hudson mentioned that Peanut tends to overestimate his abilities, often attempting to climb up walls with little success.

Despite his mischievous nature, Peanut enjoys playing outside and getting fresh air.
